COMPILED BY ASHLEY GHOLAMHOSSEINI AND RYAN McGEE WITH JENNIFER HEWETT

(Photo by Thom Fountain.)Fun with Salem

For seven years, Salem the Talking Cat charmed audiences as the wisecracking, animatronic sidekick in the Viacom/Paramount TV series “Sabrina the Teenage Witch.”

Now audiences can get an up-close look at the Salem puppets, his girlfriend Hillary and “Waffle Salem” model, plus more than 100 pieces ranging from costumes and scripts to props and memorabilia at the “Salem, the Talking Cat: Seven Years of ‘Sabrina’ Magic!” exhibit, running through June 29, 2008, at the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta. Atlanta native Thom Fountain, the exhibit’s curator, was the show’s lead puppeteer, helping Salem into the history books as the longest-running puppet in prime-time television history.
