As a part of the 22nd Annual Madison Chamber Music Festival, come to the Steffen Thomas Museum of Art on Thursday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m. for a program of music inspired by the life and art of Steffen Thomas, including songs from Schumann that Thomas references in his art as well as songs from the soundtrack of “Steffen Thomas: Rock & Chisel”, composed by David Kirkland Garner.
About David Kirkland Garner: Dr. David Garner is on the faculty at the School of Music at the University of South Carolina, where he has worked with world-renowned ensembles including the Kronos Quartet, which commissioned work based on the music of the Scottish diaspora.
